Harrison Brothers Racing Uses K&N Filters on Suzuki SV650S
In less than 2 weeks, Jonathan Harris of Harrison Brothers Racing will be at Cadwell Park in Linconshire for the MRO Dynapro Minitwins Championship in Europe. Richie and Jonathan Harrison were brought up around racing. Their father Steve Harrison raced in local regional road race championships, but never had the funding or the backing to move into the big Nationals Championships.
“We started riding bikes as kids in 1987 after receiving a TY80 trials bike for Christmas,” said Richie Harrison. “We started road racing in 1996 and both won championships.”

Jonathan’s machine is based around a 2003 Suzuki SV650S (V Twin configuration). The modifications allowed in MRO Dynapro Minitwins will not allow the Suzuki to exceed 72 brake horsepower at the rear wheel. Rear suspension can be changed and modified but only the internals of the front suspension can be modified. Brake discs, pads and lines can be modified, wheels must remain as standard, exhaust choice is free, air and oil filters can be changed, bodywork can be altered and treaded tires must be used.
“The machine will probably do around 140-150 mph flat out,” said Richie. “The trick, however, to riding a smaller capacity machine is the high corner speed which is where the handling of the little V twin machine comes into its own.”

aid our power and allows Jonathan to exit the corners onto the straights much quicker,” said Richie. “This aids in the overall consistent fast laps required to take race wins and more importantly championships.”
Looking ahead to 2007, Harrison Brothers Racing wants to move into the British Superbike Championship Series with both brothers competing on the national level. It is within the Supersport Cup category, onboard 600 cc machines such as the Yamaha R6, Honda CBR600RR, Suzuki GSXR600, Ducati 749 and the Kawasaki ZX6R.
