K&N Engineering Wins 1st Place Award at Tuning World Bodensee
K&N Filters are the number one air filter brand in Germany, according to an
independent survey conducted by Auto Scene Tuning, a German magazine. The
publication asked the public to pick its favorite brand of automotive
aftermarket parts. The respondents selected K&N.
Racimex, K&N’s German distributor, received the first-place award at
Tuning World Bodensee, a huge trade show for tuning enthusiasts in Europe. “The
award is a free expression of K&N users,” said Robert Hordossy, K&N Europe,
Middle East and Africa Business Manager. “It is important to know that consumers
are pleased with the performance and quality of K&N products. It also confirms
our leadership as a cotton air filter manufacturer in the European market.”

More than 100,000 fans attended the second largest performance show in
Friedrichshafen, Germany to see nearly 1,000 tuned vehicle exhibits from 256
international exhibitors and 150 clubs. On day three of the show, 46,500
visitors attended, making it a record day for organizers.
“All the top aftermarket manufacturers and car enthusiast clubs were
represented,” said Hordossy. “People lined up at the K&N booth to get advice
about air filters for their vehicles.”
K&N Engineering makes filters at its Riverside, California plant in the
United States. “The technology is the same in Europe and America,” said Hordossy.
“We were glad to talk to the public and answer their questions about what’s
available for their vehicles.”

All ten exhibition halls were full with people from many European countries to
see the newest trends on four wheels. Organizers said more than half of the
visitors said they owned a “tuned” vehicle. The exhibit was designed to help
enthusiasts improve cars inside and out.
