“It’s a different race,” said Campbell. “There is a lot of sliding and it’s faster without the wings.” Campbell started the main event in 8th place and picked off car after car until he moved up. “I did not have any experience with non-wing stuff but I’m always looking to race,” Campbell said. “It was a lot of fun and I hope to get the opportunity to do it again.”

Campbell said he uses K&N Engineering products. “K&N filters are easy to clean and protect my engines,” said Campbell. “I use both K&N Oil and Air Filters on my cars.”

The following night at Haubstadt, Indiana, Campbell earned a bonus point in the World of Outlaws point standings. The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team had a strong run. After transferring from the heat and finishing 4th in his dash, Campbell started 8th in the A Feature. He battled up to 3rd place but mechanical problems put Campbell back to a 7th place finish, moving him up to 9th in the point standings.

“It’s been such a weird month,” said Campbell. “I feel like we are competitive every night when we get to the racetrack, but we keep having little things go wrong. As soon as we can work through all of this I think we will start to see some very strong, consistent finishes.”

Lawrenceburg, Indiana is next for The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team. “We’re running Outlaws with wings on Friday and USAC without the wings on Saturday.
