K&N Introduces Exciting New 77 Series Intake Systems For Trucks and SUVs
RIVERSIDE, CA - K&N Engineering is proud to introduce a new line of top-quality intake systems for today's popular sport trucks. K&N's 77 Series intake systems combine dyno-proven horsepower gains with show-quality appearance for street and off-road trucks alike.
K&N 77 Series improve airflow to the engine, which increases power, torque and improves throttle response. (Preliminary testing on K&N's Dynojet 248 dynamometer showed as much as a 13-HP rear-wheel gain for the Dodge® Hemi 77 Series application.) Each intake system is a direct replacement for the restrictive OE airbox and inlet tract.
The 77 Series Intakes' show-quality appearance comes from a 6061 aluminum intake tube that has been treated to a highly-polished shine or metallic gun metal grey powdercoated metallic finish. Measuring up to 3.5-inches in diameter depending on application, this mandrel-bent, free-flowing, one-piece aluminum tube positions the air filter high in the engine compartment, away from splashed-up water. A steel heatshield, which is finished in black powdercoat, isolates the filter from ambient underhood heat to supply the engine with cooler, denser air. The 77 Series intake tube is coupled to the OE components with reinforced silicone hose to absorb engine vibrations. Stainless-steel barrel clamps durably secure parts to one another, and black-powdercoated steel brackets further support 77 Series intake systems as required.
Filtration is accomplished through a world-famous high-flow K&N Filtercharger®. Each 77 Series intake system uses a FilterCharger® that was engineered to fit the available space while providing optimal airflow and increased service intervals. Because the filter can be cleaned and re-oiled with a K&N recharger kit (sold separately), it's backed by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty™.
77 Series intakes install without drilling or cutting. Each kit comes complete with all necessary hardware, including die-cast aluminum sensor adapters as required. Initial 77 Series kits are for the F-150 (4.6L, 5.4L), Silverado (4.8L, 5.3L) and Ram (5.7L Hemi), with others rapidly following.
