At first glance calling the 2007 Mini Cooper "All New" may seem like a ruse. Upon closer inspection the surprisingly significant changes make themselves better known. While European pedestrian impact standards dictated minor changes to exterior dimensions, the biggest surprise comes from under the hood. A lot of investment was made into new engines for the Mini Cooper. An all-new turbocharged 1.6-liter engine powers the Cooper S. The new turbocharged engine offers a nice bump in both horsepower and torque over the previous generation Cooper S. Nevertheless, K&N engineers took one look at the car and decided that more could be done.

are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten airflow. This allows your engine to pull in air with ease compared to the OEM air filter assembly. More air means more power and torque when you need it. With a K&N Performance Air Intake System, consumers can count on extra horsepower whether daring the morning commute, or weaving along a winding country road.
This air intake system uses a conical shaped high-flow air filter (
) and powder coated aluminum heat shield in place of the vehicle's stock air box. The result is an air filter that captures harmful particles, flows more air, and increases service life. This K&N air filter performs for up to 100,000 miles before service is required depending on driving conditions. Improving the air path between the filter and the engine is the powder coated aluminum intake tube. Our powder coated aluminum intake tubes offer power and a stylish appearance. The
air intake takes about 90 minutes or less to
