Demuth had a season of highs and lows but took home the 250 Main Event, 450 Main Event and overall championship titles in the inaugural BooKoo Arenacross series. “Josh rode with a broken hand during one competition and the handle bar came through his helmet and tore his face wide open in another race,” said Team Manager Denny Bartz. “Josh told the doctor to put in temporary stitches until he could return.”

“Every weekend there are four main events, and there are 80 points a weekend available,” said Bartz. “We had a good lead going into the final round of racing, because we put in 100% from the beginning.”

Bartz said Josh also used K&N filters during the competition. “We tested on the dyno using the K&N filters,” said Bartz. “The more air our 4-stroke motor got the better it ran and we noticed an increase in power with our K&N filters.”

Team Babbitt’s Enxus Oil Kawasaki’s Josh Demuth took home $36,000 in year-end bonus money on top of weekend earnings. It was the largest portion of the $150,000 record payout for a startup series.
