“We are really excited to have K&N products helping us chase the World of Outlaws (WoO) championship in 2006,” said sprint car star Donny Schatz.  “The K&N Carbon Sprint Airbox is clearly better than anything else that is out there.”

In January, 2006 Donny set an amazing pace win in sprint car races in Australia at the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic at Premier Speedway.  “When I arrived in Australia, we put a brand new K&N Carbon Sprint Box on our Shaver motor and went out and won eight races in nine starts at Parramatta City Raceway, “said Donny.  “We won the $50,000-to-win race and swept all three nights of the “Outlaws Down Under III” event.”

We could not believe we could not be as dominant as we were in Australia, said Donny. “But that’s what happens when you put good products to use with a good race team. Results are what matter most.”

For Donny Schatz and his ParkerStore team, the sky is the limit during the World of Outlaws season, which began in February at Volusia Speedway Park near Daytona, Florida.

This is the 10th World of Outlaws season for 28-year-old Donny. The Fargo, North Dakota native won the Rookie of the Year crown in 1997 and has not looked back. Now, Donny Schatz is one of the top contenders in 2006.

“Our race team does extensive research and works closely with our product suppliers,” said Donny. “We’ve seen the results of the K&N performance both on the track and in our research and development.” We’ve had the complete car on a chassis dynamometer and seen results from the engine dynamometer, Donny said. “The K&N Filters Carbon Sprint Airbox is simply the best product out there for us. It fits perfectly and provides the most airflow to the engine.”

This season could be historic for Donny Schatz, who finished fourth in the 2005 WoO standings. “I want to be the best every time I hit the track,” said Donny. “My dad raced sprint cars and I caught the bug early on. We’d like nothing more than to bring home the championship this season.”

The 2006 WoO schedule currently offers 67 race nights beginning in Florida and concluding at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Dirt Track in late October. There will be stops along the way at all of the premier facilities including Knoxville Raceway, Williams Grove Speedway, Silver Dollar and Eldora Speedway.
