In the Sprint race Enge fought hard from the start in a Mercedes AMG DTM C-Class. Tomas Kostka was alongside him at the first corner but Enge kept first place and held it to the line.“It was a very close fight with Tomas Kostka,” said Enge. “The car ran without problems. Overall it was a very successful weekend because we won both the Endurance and Sprint races.”

Enge began his racing career at 16-years-old in the Czechoslovakian Ford Fiesta Cup. The Czech Republic driver has competed in many classes of motorsports, including the Formula One Championship.

In the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Enge’s drove a Lola Aston Martin powered LMP1 to a top ten finish. The team consisted of Enge, Jan Charouz and Mucke. The Aston Martin powered car was a brand new prototype with a production-based petrol-engine from the GT1 class winning Aston Martin DBR9. The team proved from the start they have the speed to lead the petrol charge behind the factory diesels.

“I’m really happy to have all the high end parts on our cars like K&N filters,” said Enge. “K&N gives us performance and filtration during endurance races.”
