2007 and 2008 Honda Civic Type R Owners Add Performance with K&N Air Intake System
The 2007 Honda Civic Type R has had tremendous success since it first became available. The Type R Civic improved aerodynamics helps the car cut through the air easily.
K&N Engineering has unveiled a low cost performance air induction system (57A-6040) to improve the power of the 2007 and 2008 Honda Civic Type R with the 2.0 liter engine. With the addition of K&N's Apollo air protective filter enclosure and a washable reusable K&N air filter, air entering the engine will flow freely. The custom design eliminates problems caused by hot air and feeds cooler outside air into the engine.

The Apollo also provides the benefits of an open cone filter and a standard air box in one unit. The cold air feed attachment is removable and allows outside air to be fed into the unit. Zip ties are provided to secure the cold air hose.
The original air box on the 2007 Honda Civic Type R restricts air flow into the engine. The 57A-6040 will free your vehicle from much of this restriction. It will also provide power with excellent filtration. It can be easily installed in 90 minutes or less and is backed by the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
