Temperatures in the low 90s and humidity dew points in the 70s made extreme vehicle conditions for the drivers. Andy Pilgrim delivered in his No. 8 Remington Cadillac CTS-V with K&N Engineering products despite the weather. He was on the podium for his 4th straight race.

“We were lucky to have a podium finish,” said Pilgrim. “We competed against Porches, Vipers and Cobra Mustangs that have more top end speed then we do. We were very fortunate.”

Michael McCann and his No. 16 Remington Cadillac CTS-V had a great qualifying session and posted at 6th place. “I heard a hammering noise from the rear end and pulled into the pit entry,” said McCann. “We discovered a ring gear in the differential was coming apart. Finding it then saved us from a DNF (did not finish).” The crew fixed the problem and McCann went on to a 5th place finish in the main.

The next stop for Team Remington Cadillac is in Ohio on July 17 - 20.
