Monte Carlo Late Model Dirt Racer Starts New Independent Racing Series at the Top
Duane Chamberlain left the IRS (Independent Racing Series) at Moler Speedway in Williamsburg, Ohio in a way that he wants to repeat for the rest of the season.

Chamberlain smoked the competition in his late model Monte Carlo Chamberlain Chassis equipped with a K&N air filter. “The Dargie engine along with my K&N air filter supplied a ton of horsepower and we were fast all night,” said Chamberlain. “I started off the evening by qualifying the car with the quick time for the night. I went on to win the heat race, the trophy dash and wrapped it up by winning the A-main event.”

Chamberlain plans to participate in 35 races in 2008. He has raced dirt late models since 1996 and raced go karts as a child. “I’ve used K&N my entire racing career,” said the Richmond, Indiana racer. “K&N air filters are washable and reusable and that means they are cost effective. They also do a great job.”
Chamberlain grew up in a racing family. “My father builds these hot rods and he really knows what he is doing,” he said. “I’m looking forward to the next race in this series at Elkins Motor Speedway. We are definitely ready to compete for the Championship.”
The IRS Series began last year. It was started to fill a void when the former Renegade Dirt Car Series was eliminated. It features a $5,000 to win Late Model Purse structure.
