Johnny Lewis pushes hard in ESPN's Moto X World Championship Super Moto Race
Lewis took on many veteran athlete racers who compete in the XBux/AMA Supermoto
Lites Championship Series and pushed hard. In the second round of heat races he
came back from the pack in a six-lap race to grab third on the last lap.
Thirty riders competed in the SuperMoto lites class, which was the first program
in the Navy Moto X World Championships. The top two riders advanced directly to
the final from each round one heat. The remaining went to one of two additional
heats. Lewis finished fourth in his round one heat and third in the round two

“Racing against some of the fastest athletes in the world was tough, but I was
happy to qualify,” said Lewis. “It would have been icing on the
cake to make the final SuperMoto race, but after having the fastest lap times in
the round two heat race I know I have the speed to compete at this level.”
Team Brand Moto Racing’s next major event will be the opening round of the XBux/AMA
Supermoto Championship on July 13 in Seattle, Washington.
