Northern California Dirt Open Wheel Driver of the Year is Sponsored by K&N Engineering
K&N sponsored Andy Forsberg is the Northern California Dirt Open Wheel Driver of the Year, according to the Motor Sports Press Association. The announcement came in early March at the Motor Sports Press Association’s National Banquet in Oakland, California.
Andy Forsberg is Nor-Cal Dirt Open Wheel Driver of the Year
Forsberg races 360 and 410 Sprint cars. He raced at speedways in Chico, California, Placerville, California, Eldorado County Fairgrounds and in the 360 Pacific Sprint Division. He also participated with the Civil War Series where he took his fourth Championship Title during the 2007 season.
The Civil War Series is open to more than 40 of California’s best drivers and competes in 15 overall races at five different state tracks. Placerville Speedway is the home base of the series and hosts more events than any other track on the tour due to its bullring style of racing.
“It’s an honor to be the Nor-Cal Dirt Open Wheel Driver of the year and part of a good season,” said Forsberg. “It’s nice to be recognized.”
Forsberg uses K&N Engineering Products on his #92 sprint car. “My dad raced and I grew up with K&N Filters,” said Forsberg. “We use the K&N Oil and Air Filters and I wouldn’t put anything else on our vehicles. The debris stays out of our engines with K&N and the products work great.”
Forsberg’s next race will be at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California.
