Biondo knocked off Jeff Trip in the final for the Super Stock title in the Pro-Am. He also defeated Craig Marshall to win the Stock championship in Sunday’s Sportsman National.

In the Stock Sportsman National, the New York resident raced against some of the best sportsman racers in the business. Biondo qualified sixth with his 1969 Camaro with K&N Engineering products and was about claim his third victory.

Biondo beat, Ricky Clark, Edmond Richardson and eventually had a third round battle with Anthony Bertozzi. Bertozzi has an extensive racing resume listing both IHRA Stock and Super Stock championships in 2007. He was a formidable opponent.

Despite this, Biondo won at the tree. Bertozzi posted a break-out 6.645 on his 6.67 dial while Biondo ran a 5.544 on his 6.54 dial. In the final round Biondo broke out, defeating Craig Marshall, the 2004 IHRA Stock World Champion.

“The three in one weekend race was rough but enjoyable,” said Biondo. “I had to go through a tough field, but the cars worked flawlessly. The K&N oil filters I used throughout the weekend worked great. It was also a little windy and dusty in Florida but the K&N air filters kept my engines clean.”

Biondo now has two Ironman victories after an incredible 24-4 round record in both Stock and Super Stock at Immokalee.

In 2007, Biondo claimed well over $50,000 in big dollar bracket races and doubled up as the 2007 NHRA Stock and Super Stock World Champion. He also captured six national event victories on the NHRA tour.
