The 2007, 2008 and 2009 Hummer H3, Chevy Canyon and GMC Colorado Add HP with K&N Air Intake System
The 2007 to 2009 Hummer H3 is derived from GM's midsize pickup trucks, the Chevrolet
Colorado and GMC Canyon. All three share the same body-on-frame construction,
suspension and 3.7-liter, five cylinder powertrain.
K&N Engineering has designed a high flow air intake system (63-3065)
for the 2007, 2008 and 2009 Hummer H3 3.7 liter five cylinder engine, the 2007 to 2009 GMC Canyon 3.7
liter five cylinder engine and the 2007 to 2009 Chevrolet Colorado 3.7 liter five

K&N dynamometer testing shows a 10.97 horsepower gain @ 4754 RPM with the
2007 Chevrolet Colorado 3.7 liter engine. K&N
Engineering's air intake design has lower restriction than the factory air box
system resulting in an immediate power gain. The rotationally molded intake tube
helps reduce turbulence inside the air intake tube for additional horsepower.
A chrome top air pump filter in the heat shield gives it a clean fit and finish
look as it connects to the factory system. This K&N performance air intake is
designed to work with the factory emissions system.
A large chrome top K&N high flow air filter (RF-1048) allows free flowing air
into the mandrel bent aluminum intake tube. The heat shield assembly
is installed into the engine bay in the factory location. The heat shield
isolates the K&N air filter from the engine compartment and allows it to receive a
consistent flow of fresh cooler air.
