Cycle World International Motorcycle Show Hosts AMA Supermoto Champions

AMA Supermoto Champion Team  Factory Aprilia Rip It Energy Fuel put its race bikes on display at the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show (IMS) at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California.

“There was a lot of interest in the bikes and our sponsor’s products,” said Darryl Atkins, of Factory Aprilia. “They were at the Aprilia booth and they turned out to be the main attraction.”

The bikes are equipped with K&N Engineering air and oil filters. “We get additional performance and power on the track with K&N,” said Atkins. “We had a great year with K&N. Ben Carlson is the 2007 AMA Supermoto Unlimited Champion and Factory Aprilia Rip It Energy Fuel is the 2007 Supermoto Unlimited Team Champion.”

Atkins was injured late in the 2007 season, but plans to start training again in a few weeks. Until then the bikes along with the sponsors logos and names will be displayed at numerous trade shows and AMA SX series until the racing season begins in 2008.
