Team Dinosaur wins the 2007 ANRA Championship
The Dinosaur is a 1948 Fiat with a supercharged small block Chevrolet motor and a fiberglass body. It runs on alcohol and clocked in with a 7.608 on a 7.60 index at the finals. Bob Dietz and Dave Ward secured enough points with this car for the 2007 ANRA Championship.

“We had a good year,” said Ward. “We are a good team. Bob and I built the chassis about eight years ago and it’s very unique. We wanted something different and everywhere we go it gets a lot of attention. The Dinosaur resembles a car from the early 1960s and has one of the shortest wheel bases on the track in the Nostalgia series.”
Team Dinosaur began the year by winning its first race at the 49th March Meet at Famoso Raceway. They beat more than sixty cars and moved on to the Tucson Reunion in Arizona for an exhibition. Team Dinosaur was unstoppable as it climbed the racing charts at several more events to become this year’s champions.
“Sometimes it’s a matter of luck,” said Ward. “Every time you race you roll the dice. Our team works like a well-tuned clock. When you run index races you are constantly tuning the car to get everything right for track conditions in all kinds of weather. We like to make sure we are prepared. K&N Engineering supplied us with great products for the 2007 season. We count on our K&N oil filter to provide the performance and the quality we demand.”
In 2008 Team Dinosaur will begin its season with the NHRA Heritage Series.
