K&N Engineering manufactures a series of add-ons designed to benefit the Ford Ranger's performance. K&N high-flow replacement air filters, performance air intakes and premium oil filters are a few add-ons that help you get the best performance out of your Ford Ranger.
K&N High-Flow Replacement Air Filters
K&N's replacement air filters for the Ford Ranger are designed to fit securely
in the factory air box. This simple drop-in design makes them an easy performance upgrade. Our filters are washable, reusable and backed by a one million mile limited warranty. Your K&N Filter will be the last air filter your truck will ever need.
The 2000 to 2011 Ford Ranger with the 4.0 and 2.3 liter gas engines and 2000 to 2008 Ford Ranger with a 3.0 liter engine use K&N's 33-2106-1 high-flow replacement air filter. The 33-2106-1, like all K&N filters, uses a unique pleated cotton media that lowers the restriction of air flow over a stock paper filter. K&N Air Filters are designed to increase horsepower and acceleration while providing excellent filtration. 2000 and 2001 Ford Ranger models with the 2.5 liter gas engine also use K&N's 33-2106-1.
The E-2296 was released for the 2008 Ford Ranger with the 3.0 liter diesel engine and the 2006 (from 7/06), 2007 and 2008 Ford Ranger with the 2.5 liter diesel engine.
Owners of the 2000 to 2005 Ford Ranger that have the 2.5 liter diesel engine use K&N's 33-2167 for high air-flow and protection.
2006 models with a 2.5 liter engine that were manufactured prior to August 2006 also use this high performance air filter.
K&N Performance Air Intakes - Feel the Difference
K&N cold air intakes replace the entire stock intake assembly that restricts air-flow to your
Ford Ranger's engine. By replacing the filter, air box and air intake path with a K&N air intake kit, we provide virtually unrestricted air flow to your engine. This results in guaranteed horsepower.
The 2006 to 2010 Ford Ranger's with the 4.0 liter engine have two K&N intakes to choose from. The 63-1108 intake system, listed for the 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 4 liter Ford Ranger, use a non-metallic intake tube to smooth and straighten air flow to your engine. Testing shows the 63-1108 gains 13.45 horsepower @ 5129 RPM. For 2004 and 2005 models, the 4 liter Ford Ranger uses K&N 57-2561, which shows a horsepower gain of 13.46 @ 5129 rpm. The 77-2561KP uses a polished aluminum intake tube for 11.24 more horsepower @ 4950. The 77-2561KP also fits on 2004 and 2011 models with 4.0 liter engines. The 2006 and 2007 4 liter Ford Ranger owners may also choose to use K&N's 57-2561 air intake kit.
2001 to 2003 Ford Ranger's with 4.0 liter engine gain 6.88 horsepower with K&N's 57-2529-1 and 5.32 horsepower with K&N's 77-2529KP. The 77-2529KP produces an authoritative sound over the non-metallic tubes.
The 57-2527 was designed for 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000 Ford Ranger models with the 4.0 liter engine. The 57-2527 shows an increase of 3.25 horsepower @3969 RPM.
2004 to 2007 Ford Rangers use the 57-2560, 2002 to 2003 3.0 liter models use K&N's 57-2554 and
1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001 Ford Rangers with the 3.0 liter engine gain 5.55 horsepower @ 4721 RPM with K&N's 57-2533.
The 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001 Ford Ranger with the 2.5 liter engine gain 6.56 horsepower @ 5000 RPM with K&N's 57-2540 performance air intake system.
If you own the 2001, 2002 or 2003 Ford Ranger model with the 2.3 liter engine, K&N's 57-2552 shows a gain of 6.77 horsepower @ 4874 while K&N's 77-2552KP, with an aluminum intake tube, gains 6.12 horsepower @ 4498 RPM.
K&N Premium Oil Filters
K&N Performance Gold® Oil Filters for the Ford Ranger are designed with a 1" hex nut welded to the top of the canister for easy removal. They are made with ultra-thick canister walls for extra durability and protection from loose rocks and debris.
The 2001 to 2011 Ford Ranger with the 4.0 liter engine use the HP-2010 premium oil filter. The HP-2010, like all K&N oil filters, is designed to offer excellent filtration while allowing for high oil flow rates. The PS-2010 is the Pro-Series oil filter that comes with a black finish and the SS-2010 is constructed from Billum Alluminum and is both washable and reusable. The 2000 Ford Ranger with the 4.0 liter engine uses the HP-3001.
K&N's HP-2009 premium oil filter was designed for the 2000 to 2008 Ford Ranger models with the 3.0 liter engine. K&N's oil filters are also ideal for synthetic and semi-synthetic motor oils.
The HP-2009 also fits the 2001 to 2005 Ford Ranger's with the 2.3 liter engine and the 2000 and 2001 Ford Ranger's with the 2.5 liter engine.
2006 to 2011 Ford Ranger models with the 2.3 liter engine use the HP-1002 to gain excellent filtration and protection.
