For the 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 Honda Civic 1.8L engine, K&N developed a 69-Series Typhoon Air Intake, 69-1013TS, in a powder coated silver finish. The vehicle design played a major role in the development and design of this intake kit to ensure that the system would not obstruct or rub against other parts in the engine compartment. K&N dynamometer tests for the Honda Civic 1.8L engine show a 5.72 horsepower gain @ 5750 RPM with this air intake. The 69-1013TS heat shield was designed with provisions for the factory fresh air duct so that the intake air filter, RU-4960, could receive a consistent flow of fresh cool air.
Tests show the 69-1007TS cold air intake gains 4.8 HP @6200 RPM. It fits the 2001 to 2006 Honda Civic 1.6L engine, 2001 to 2006 Honda Civic 1.7L 5 speed engine.
The 2001 to 2005 Honda Civic 2.0L engine has the 69-1009TP air intake available. Tests show horsepower gains of 10.4 HP @ 7024 RPM. Owners of the 2000 Honda Civic Type R may also use this performance intake system.
